We’re so glad that you’re here! We have a serious passion for adventure and hope that we can share some of that passion with you to help inspire you to get out there.
We’re Sean and Marie, we travel full-time with our two kids, Sam and Ava. Our adventures depend on which wheels are rolling and that could be the motorhome, a 2005 Fleetwood Bounder or our 2015 Jeep Wrangler JKU.
We started traveling full-time in 2017 after working at the North Carolina Outward Bound School. Our travels have taken us westward from NC and we’ve homeschooled/roadschooled along the way.
Sean has been seeking adventure for all of his life. He has served 18 years in the Army conducting operational and logistics planning for multiple combat units. Sean has a degree in Experience Education and applies it to our roadschooling principles and in guiding our expeditions. He has a passion for Wilderness Medicine and Search and Rescue and takes his experience into consideration during planning and while on the road. Sean has been driving off-road vehicles since joining the Army and in his personal life; and has conducted multiple vehicle recoveries along the way!
Marie has a degree in Elementary Education and in Professional Aeronautics. She’s obsessed with learning and brings that same passion to our kids. She applies her skillset during our roadschooling and throughout our kid’s lives. She was a rotary wing mechanic and later flew the same helicopters that she maintained. She has a knack for all things mechanical and is instrumental in keeping our wheels turning in the right direction. She funds the adventure through her full time online business.
Together, we use our education background to guide our roadschooling adventures. Our education philosophy is deeply rooted in experiential education. We believe it’s a more enduring form of education for children and we strive to break the norm of traditional classroom based learning.
What you’ll find here. We want to share our adventures with you and how we achieved this lifestyle. It is not always easy! We also hope to provide some resources and information on Roadschooling, RVing, and Overlanding….all with small children and on a tight budget!
AND of course, follow and share!
